Head of Service Posts

The posts report to the Chief Executive’s Team made up of the Chief Executive and two Corporate Directors. The postholders will not report specifically to one of the Chief Executive’s Team but will work with them as part of a single Senior Management Team focusing on delivering strategic outcomes. There will however be arrangements where Heads of Service are linked to either the Chief Executive or one of the Corporate Directors for mentoring and performance management. The leadership philosophy is less about hierarchy and defined areas of responsibility and more about innovation, empowerment, creativity and delivering strategic outcomes as one team.

For each of the roles the emphasis is on transforming the way people receive services and the way we deliver them, shaping communities to meet local needs and building on the diversity of lifestyle we have to offer whether to visit us for a day, a week or a lifetime.

Head of Service: Community Services

Responsible for libraries, leisure, community regeneration and public transport.

Head of Service: Regulatory Services

Up to £61,380
Responsible for licensing, trading standards, community safety and CCTV, housing enforcement, development control, building regulations and environmental protection.

Head of Service: Engineering and Design Services

Up to £61,380
Responsible for corporate development,design & supervision of all contracts (including Taith), coastal protection, property repairs and maintenance, asset management and facilities management.
